Hi, I’m Melisa…

I struggle with writing these about me sections and find myself changing it often because I am constantly evolving. I’ve been told many times that I am very indecisive as well LOL. I’ll share the most consistent parts about me and we can go from there.

I speak my mind often, regardless of the place or the company. I like keeping things simple.

There are a ton of great values out there but I find myself admiring, and practicing these three the most — honesty, integrity, and innovation. I think we live in a time where people are more dishonest than ever. We see the advertisers, the influencers, the content taking over the web and it’s all focused on showing the best side of you but I really respect the people who are just themselves regardless of who’s watching. I think it’s brave.

I was born in Okinawa, Japan but grew up in Joshua, Texas. My Dad did contract work on base and met my mom on a blind date. I’m currently working on rediscovering myself. Like most people I have experienced great loss, and I am learning how to recover from it now. I won’t get into that here but I will in a later blog post.
